Superfoods! The name itself tells it all. These are foods that are better than your average meal. But what are they? How can you tell a superfood from your everyday ordinary food and what are the benefits of eating them? Don’t be afraid – superfoods are not some hard to get to, expensive to buy and exotic foods from the other side of the planet. They are just everyday things that you might already eat but you don’t consider them to be super. Lets just name a few: grapefruit, tomatoes, red bell peppers, watermelon, grapes, blueberries, red cabbage, prunes, spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, collard greens, bok choy, kale, carrots, mango, pumpkin, oranges, cauliflower, mushrooms, bananas, onions, garlic… the list can go on and on.

These are just ordinary foods that contain above average levels of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial substances.
